Thought for today:

‘Constant use had not worn ragged the fabric of their friendship.’

My thoughts have turned to seeing friends again.

There are many friends I have not seen in person since early 2020, and more still I haven’t seen since 2019.

How do you prioritise?

What if you find yourself low on someone’s list when they are high on yours?

Friendships change over the years – some deepen and others end.

How has lockdown (in the UK at least) affected your friendships?

I realise that it is not just about maintaining contact, we have all changed as a result of our experiences.

I also realise that there is a slight anxiety about meeting people again – something I didn’t expect to feel.

Robert Crampton wrote in The Times today that he would like lockdown to last a little longer.

He feels that slight difficulty, slight anxiety, about meeting people face to face.

And to be honest, I don’t want to feel this way.

I owe too many people a hug!
