๐ Thought for today:
โWhen an inner situation is not made conscious, it appears outside as fate.โ

I have used Jung’s words so many times in two years that I have to check my past record before using another one.
Much of my work involves helping clients to acknowledge and name their own motivations, emotions, trauma, and often anger.
Doing so brings a sense of relief.
It can also often catalyse a change in their “fortunes”.
Bringing such things into the conscious part of us, changes our relationship with the world, other people, and our perception of luck or opportunity.
In this case, “inner situation” is primarily about our hidden motivations (our “shadow”) and learning to use them to our own benefit.
There are parts of our personality that we may not be fully aware of, yet influence our actions, behaviour, and feelings. Yet its influence is there to see around us in the situations we find ourselves in.
Don’t like your current situation? Maybe it is time to explore within. Or as Jung called it, time for Enantiodromia.
