📅 Thought for today:

‘To build may have to be the slow and laborious task of years. To destroy can be the thoughtless act of a single day.’

— Winston Churchill

A collision of thoughts today, as I stumbled on this photograph, buried in a sleepy part of my Dropbox archive, whilst looking for something else (a picture of Oxford).

It shows Oxford students who took part in the Saïd Business School VIEW program in the spring of 2016. I was one of the mentors.

I am still in touch with some of the people in that photograph and I tagged the ones I recognised (if you see yourself, let me know). How can six years seem so long? A great deal has changed for me since then and for everyone else no doubt.

I could leave it there – sometimes it is nice to reflect on how much has changed and how far we have come.

Yet in looking for a time-related quote, I came across this one from Winston Churchill, and the words took on a new meaning in light of the attack on a nuclear reactor (FFS).
