I was inspired by the Great Pottery Throw Down and went on a beginners pottery weekend in August.
This weekend I am back at the wheel, and soon realised I had forgotten many of the basic lessons as I tackled an Intermediate weekend.
Yet it was OK, with a lot of help from my patient teacher, Sarah, I managed to make a lidded pot, a jug, a mug for tea and a unique piece of pottery that problem will become a pencil pot.
Less than the other’s in the class, although two of them were probably at an advanced stage.
I was happy.
Today will be fettling and leaving to dry and hopefully, I will see my finished pots again after firing around Christmas time.
