Thought for today:

‘Time to move on, time to get going. What lies ahead, I have no way of knowing. But under my feet, baby, grass is growing.’

— Tom Petty

A chain of events this morning brought me to this quote.

I watched a documentary about Roy Orbison’s album Mystery Girl.

It featured Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Bono and The Edge.

This brought to mind The Traveling Wilburys – with Lynn & Petty together with George Harrison, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison – a “supergroup” of the late 1980s that didn’t take itself too seriously.

I was amused to find that the name came from a George Harrison comment about small errors in the studio of which he said “we’ll bury them later”.

A group of friends having fun and gently mocking each other.

Their first album was called Volume 1 – their second album was called Volume 3.

Orbison, Harrison & Petty are no longer with us.

So I listened to the two Wilburys’ albums in memory.

Time moves on, we must all make the most of the time we have.
