Thought for today:
‘Sometimes what you’re most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free.’

As I write this on Easter Monday, it is gently snowing outside.
Although a holiday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, it is not officially a bank holiday in Scotland.
And snow at Easter in England is not that unusual.
For me, this is a day of reflection, a day to contemplate the things I would like to do next.
I am still wondering how I can make a positive impact on the people around me, and the wider community.
I have realised that “having a public profile” doesn’t really feel very fulfilling.
Needing to be seen and recognised is not me.
So I am wondering if some of the projects I have planned are actually relevant.
It is not that I am afraid of the limelight, I just don’t feel I need it.
Nor do I feel it would benefit others if I had it.
So I’m sorry to those that I have said “no” to this weekend, and those I will this week.
This thinking time has given me clarity and purpose.
