đź“… Thought for today:

‘The fleeting hour of life of those who love the hills is quickly spent, but the hills are eternal.’

Final day in the English Lake District. I’ve been coming here for over 50 years and I still love it.

It is strange this time to not be walking in the fells (hills), just staying in Kendal and walking around town.

It is a lovely town, blighted by empty shops, but otherwise nice.

The Comic Art festival has surpassed my expectations and I will be back.

When you learn first-hand about the history of the Chinese “one-child” policy from a Chinese comic writer, you realise the power of graphic storytelling.

The live drawing event was chaotic fun, Boulet was very entertaining – on-screen and with his words!

Alfred “AW” Wainwright named Innominate Tarn (in the picture) and his ashes were scattered there in 1991. He is now part of the eternal fell known as “Haystacks”.
