Here I am – away from home overnight for the first time since lockdown, staying in a small stone-built cottage in the very centre of Kendal, Cumbria.
An artistic weekend, just my eldest son, Gareth and I, at a festival of comic art.
The town centre seems so noisy compared to home to me, yet to Gareth who lives in Manchester City centre it is blissfully quiet.
It had to be a Wordsworth quote whilst on the lakes, and it is a day to be kind, just like any other.
