📅 Thought for today:
‘It’s in our biology to trust what we see with our eyes. This makes living in a carefully edited, overproduced and photoshopped world very dangerous.’

I see yet another large corporate on LinkedIn telling us what we should do for our wellbeing.
A set of rules to live by, written by a theoretician.
Overlooking the realities of most peoples lives, they tell us what we should do.
And by implication shame us if we don’t – we have only ourselves to blame.
They don’t tell us how to do these things, just spout theory, and leave us to feel a bit grimy.
Because telling us what we should be doing is easy.
Telling us how to do it, how to live a life and look after our wellbeing, is hard.
So they take the moral high ground, make everyone feel a bit worse, and sit back.
I would ask such companies whether they train ALL managers and leaders to do the things they tell us to do?
Including the Board of Directors.
And how about your investors…
