Call of the Wild made a huge impression on me as a young man.
Even saying that name again brings a specific sense, a feeling of time and place.
I have not read it since, and a recent thread in a forum suggested that re-reading it would be a mistake.
The books that made a big impression on us are less impressive the second time around.
That didn’t stop me – I just picked up a used copy (which also includes White Fang) for pence on eBay.
I think that this quote made an impression on me back then because this is how I feel about life.
I have travelled and experienced cultures around the world.
I’ve tried things and continue to explore and challenge myself.
It doesn’t always work out, yet the sum of the game is in the positive.
I am determined that this year will be book publishing year, I have four projects.
I also have a newly appointed book coach, and I’ve just been invited to make a contribution to a book series on Mental Health in the workplace – I’m working on my submission now.
I like to use my time, to get things done, explore and challenge myself.
