Thought for today:
‘I think it’s very healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person.’

We have had a lockdown on and off for a year in the UK.
Most of us have spent 195 days of the year in a full lockdown – and some a lot more.
During that time we have had to reevaluate our priorities, our values and our needs.
Some time alone is generally a good thing but Olivia Wilde did not anticipate so much enforced alone time.
We have been hanging on to the contact we can get – phone, messaging, Zoom or email.
And eagerly anticipating the days to come when we are free once more to meet up.
For me, I am now thinking about who I most want to see – starting with my boys.
Then friends – in whatever order we can manage.
I sincerely hope that we can hug, sit next to each other and see each other’s faces unimpeded by facemasks.
But above all else, I look forward to hearing the tales of other people’s lives during the last 12 months.
Face to face.
