Thought for today:

‘It’s often not until after a decision is made that you know whether you’ve made the right choice. The relief tells you.’

— Viv Albertine

Viv Albertine was the guitarist for The Slits, a band I remember from when I did stage crewing.

As I recall they were the support band to Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Although searching online for when and where they played together I realised they may have been co-headliners.

That would have been around 1978, a very happy time indeed.

So fitting that on this Sunday with a decision made, I use Viv’s words.

Today I am doing a bit of admin, baking bread and throwing stuff away.

Yesterday I took apart five old hard disk drives – all unusable but with unknown contents.

So I took them apart and damaged the actual disks, just in case a scavenger somewhere finds them!

Happy Mothering Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent, also Laetare or Refreshment Sunday.

A man I know, who hates to be called wise, once quoted Lao Tzu:

‘New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.’

Even better if the endings are not so painful!
