Thought for today:
‘Reducing and reusing take nothing more than a rethink on the way we shop, and using our imagination with the things that we might once have considered junk.’

A product manufactured in China arrives in a plastic bag.
The kind with hard handles that snap together to seal the bag.
Not air or watertight – enough to keep the product in and provide a carry handle.
What to do with it?
It is useful – if you have such a use.
It is made of two types of plastic, we are told that it cannot be recycled by our town collection service.
We have no use for it – a perfectly functional bag.
If it goes in the bin, it goes in the ground, and will still be there decades into the future.
When I was young, refuse was the name for waste – refuse collection day was bin day.
No, I think it should mean refuse to throw away.
There is someone, somewhere who could use that bag and save money.
If I have to ship it, that saving evaporates.
Quandary.
