Thought for today:

‘They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.’

— Tom Bodett

It is also said that to be truly happy, you must start by being happy with where you are and what you have in this moment.

That wanting more makes you unhappy now.

Defining happiness as the possession of things, wealth or fame, is more likely to make you unhappy.

This quote came to mind because I have been working on purpose with a client.

I am very fond of the Ikigai concept, often represented by a Venn diagram.

A quick search will bring it up for you.

A sense of purpose often comes to those with something to do that they care about, a person they care about and something they care about (hope for).

I find it interesting how many twenty-somethings I work with who cannot find a purpose for themselves.

I am always happy to help.
