Is it acceptable to edit a famous quotation?

I’ve edited this one, ever so slightly, because times have changed since Mr Carnegie said (almost) this.

He said “No man…”.

I don’t think that is appropriate.

Of course, you might think I used this quote because I was thinking about the US Election.

In fact, I was prompted to use it by some stories I heard yesterday about good leaders of teams.

And some stories of bad leaders of teams.

I listened to a presentation last night by David B. Peterson, well know coach and mentor.

In it, he said leadership and learning are inextricably linked.

Some leaders need to learn this.
