My thoughts today are not on mental health, coaching or training future managers.
My thoughts are dominated by the news from America and events on Capitol Hill in Washington DC.
A city I lived in for two years.
Also a city I loved, for its politics, power and culture.
Those were two glorious years.
One of my regular haunts was The Dubliner, an Irish bar right by the Capitol Building and Union Station.
It is still there today.
It was frequented by tourists and politicos alike and was particularly fun on St. Patricks Day (of course).
Today I am sad for America and Americans; and sad for Washington DC.
And sad for democracy in general.
