Thought for today:

‘Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote.’

— George Jean Nathan

I was struck by photographs of US citizens lining up to vote.

The comment in the paper said this was nothing to do with difficulties in administration and everything to do with unprecedented numbers wishing to vote.

Surely this is a good thing?

In a democracy the right to vote is valuable, but often not seen as such.

Regardless of the outcome you desire, exercising your right is good.

Having mused on this, I found this quote and thought I’d share it.
