Whilst I like this quote, I’d replace the word “kids” with “everyone”.
Too often those in distress are judged by those around them instead of listened too.
In working with entrepreneurs, I see colleagues, board members and investors saying “toughen up”.
Learn to listen without judgement.
You cannot call yourself an effective leader unless you do.
