📅 Thought for today:
‘I think on some level, you do your best things when you’re a little off-balance, a little scared. You’ve got to work from mystery, from wonder, from not knowing.’
— Willem Dafoe

Here is a quote I wish I had known soon than today!
I started this morning, like most mornings, with a journal entry (Morning Pages for those that know).
Some days I don’t know what to write, so I write about what it feels like to not have something to write about. That usually gets the ball rolling.
In a way I was like that this morning, however, there was another feeling.
I have spent three days commuting to London for the next level in supervision training. This was group supervision, and the power of groups to resonate emotionally was demonstrated time and again.
I am physically in need of a rest, I got my 10,000 steps each day, Chiltern Railways is £120 better off, and I remain adamant that travelling into London will remain a rare event.
As I thought about what it means to “not know”, just to “be”, this quote emerged and it is perfect for how it felt to be on the course, and how I feel this morning.
As Joan would say, I’ve had my chair tipped, and in the moment of the fear of falling, I felt a new clarity.
