📅 Thought for today:
‘Good teaching is one-fourth preparation and three-fourths pure theatre.’

My teaching certification is progressing slowly, this has been a busy period in the run-up to the holidays.
I hope to get my submissions in for review during the break, and get my first certification in January, with the harder and longer AET Level 5 to come afterwards, maybe by Easter.
It will come at a good time as I hope to announce a University teaching appointment (as visiting lecturer) in the New Year.
It is now two years since I did classroom teaching, and Zoom feels very comfortable as a place – as a theatre – to enable learning.
Alongside working with clients one-on-one, the opportunity to work with groups of energetic people in a virtual classroom is very fulfilling.
This quote is especially relevant today as I’m having a day off to go to the theatre – an actual live performance in London! I’m off to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child pts 1 & 2.
Being able to take a midweek day off is a blessing, I am grateful and acknowledge that hard work has gone into enabling this!
