Thought for today:
βToo often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.β

I have had occasion this week to speak some kind words.
Not, as you might expect, in my professional capacity.
These words were spoken to friends, acquaintances, and even about someone I don’t like (a public figure).
Speaking the words and being kind in other ways is a superpower and the effect on other people is often dramatic.
When we have lived through one crisis for eighteen months, seem to be living in a different one now, and the mass media warn of a glum Christmas period, we can lift the damp blanket of fear and doubt by simple words and deeds that cost us nothing and have enormous value to the recipient.
The gratitude for simple acts of kindness is more reward than I expect, I’ll take it with thanks too, because in its own way, expressing gratitude is also a kindness.
If you have read this far, thank you, I am grateful.
