📅 Thought for today:

‘Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.’

Do you have trouble letting go of things?

Memories, things people did to you, or things you did that still make you cringe?

I know, we all do to some extent.

And this comes up with clients a lot, carrying the emotional baggage of a failed relationship for instance.

When we are mistreated, maybe cheated upon, or simply disrespected, the sense of injustice burns bright and long.

And perhaps rationally we know it holds us back, that there are people who will respect you.

Yet your thoughts keep coming back to things that were done and said.

And then your friends say, “Let it go, move on, forgive and forget.”

And then you burn inside because they just don’t understand?

It takes real strength and a support network (or a talking therapy professional) to break away, so when are you going to start?
