Thought for today:
‘Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.’

It is six years since I first went to the Oxford Mindfulness Centre.
I was starting a journey of becoming a mindfulness teacher, one completed but not at Oxford.
More recently I introduced a short mindfulness exercise into my training work with groups of 10-12 people.
The response has been surprising.
This is not a dedicated meditation practice, it is a simple meditation of just three minutes.
It is a way to transition from one mental focus state to another.
The surprise was how popular it was.
As is usual in Mindfulness, it centres on the breathing as a fulcrum.
Moving a busy mind to a present mind all by yourself.
I use it regularly, in addition to other, longer practice.
