Thought for today:

‘Those who believe without reason cannot be convinced by reason.’

— James Randi

One of my clients this week bemoaned his partner’s inability to understand his position.

His partner’s position, he deemed, was based on flawed belief.

So naturally, he had tried to reason with him.

And was surprised to find that his reasoning fell on deaf ears.

This works both ways of course, how many of our own beliefs are based on shaky foundations?

I’m using this set-up in my book and realised how often I encounter it.
