Thought for today:

‘Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful, the planners, the doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground. Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world better than when you found it.’

— Wilferd A. Peterson

I always wondered whether Wilferd’s parents intended him to be a Wilfred and something happened on the birth certificate? It is certainly an unusual name, and he was an unusual man. He wrote this (quote above) in 1961 in a book called “The Art of Living”. His first book was called “The Art of Getting Along” and his best known book “The Art of Marriage” has been described by Sovereign Press as “most frequently recited English-language wedding poems and one of the greatest odes to matrimony. It embodies the sentiments, the ideals, and the love to which any marriage aspires. The memorable simplicity of its language makes the poem a touchstone for all couples, both at the start of a relationship and after the blessings of a lifetime in love.” (Wikipedia)

I believe it is my Ikigai, my purpose, to change people’s lives for the better and leave the world a better place.
